Beginning January 1, 2009 TEACH Wisconsin will fund one bridging service per school district.

Over the past year, many school districts have participated in a pilot project of HPLL-Platinum, which included bridging service.  The service pilot was set to end January 1, when schools would be required to pay the $40/mo/codec fee.

TEACH Wisconsin has concluded, however, that bridging is so integral to the effective, efficient use of the video equipment that it will fund one bridging service per school district.  In addition, schools may apply to TEACH for additional subsidized bridging services if they can justify equipping more than one unit.  For example, if a district has a codec at both a high school and an elementary school, it will likely qualify for an additional service as it would not be practical or safe to transport the equipment between schools.

If you are interested in the service, please complete the 'Service Change Request' that can be found on this website under Services.  If you have questions about the service or would like to find out if you qualify, please contact Tara Baxter, TEACH Administrator, at TEACH@Wisconsin.gov or call(608) 261-5054.
